the reverse engineering track has broken my brain (in a good way)

I used to just use tools. Now I can't stop opening them up to see how they work.

Rebuilt 3 small tools so far just for fun. None of them are useful, all of them taught me more than any course I've paid for. CyberChef one was the gateway drug.
