marimo
A free, reactive Python notebook: move a slider and every chart, table and sentence that depends on it updates by itself. Notebooks are saved as plain .py files and can be served as read-only apps.
What you can do with it
- Explore a CSV export (bank, shop, spreadsheet) with sliders, dropdowns, charts and SQL
- Turn the same notebook into a click-through app with marimo run
- Keep analysis in git as ordinary Python instead of Jupyter's JSON
Worth knowingThe install is big (our project folder came to 585MB with SQL support). marimo edit checks marimo.io once a day for a newer version unless you pass --skip-update-check, and HTML exports load their page code from cdn.jsdelivr.net, so viewers need internet.
