Sherlock
A free command-line tool that checks one username on about 400 websites at once, so you can find your own forgotten accounts.
What you can do with it
- Find old accounts you forgot you made under an old username
- Save the results as a spreadsheet to work through and close them
- Check a new username is unused before you sign up with it
Worth knowingResults need checking by hand: a made-up name still got 3 to 6 false hits in our tests, and it could not check Instagram or X correctly. Only use it on your own usernames.
