made an offline voice assistant that reads my inbox summary to me

Whisper for speech to text, a local model through Ollama to summarise, Piper for the voice reading it back. Nothing leaves the laptop.

It's slower than Alexa obviously but it doesn't send my emails to anyone, so I'll take it. Summaries are decent for normal emails, a bit dumb with long threads.
